Coloma Convent Girls’ School

I extend to you a warm welcome and hope that by exploring our website you will see that Coloma is a very happy place of learning and achievement.
Coloma has been consistently successful over its 155 years of history. The school is the holder of many national excellence awards and is proud of its consistent record of 'Outstanding' judgements in all its Ofsted and Diocesan full inspection reports. Everyone at Coloma is expected to work hard and all are encouraged to share their talents generously with the school community and beyond.
At Coloma we consistently aim to ensure that every pupil, member of staff, Governor, parent and friend of the school is motivated to see how they can make a positive difference through love, commitment and service. We share a belief that we are children of God who seek to live in the way His Son Jesus taught us. Hence prayer, respect for one another, integrity, kindness and compassion are greatly valued. Combined with our rigorous focus on teaching excellence we are able to provide an impressive range and quality of educational opportunity for all students, as our record of academic and enrichment achievement and community partnerships demonstrate. Good relationships are at the heart of all that we do. Holiness is what we strive for.
Pupils and students, as well as our staff, are enthusiastic and cheerful, maintaining good order so that with first class teaching, outstanding learning takes place in an atmosphere of trust and co-operation. This generates loyalty and passion which allow us to offer a broad range of exceptional extra-curricular activities which add enormously to the academic curriculum. Please take the time to look through the pages here and you will see how we best integrate our immense strengths in Music, Sport and the Arts through everyday school life.
We encourage you to download a school prospectus and take the opportunity to visit us at one of our Open Days or special events to see for yourself the breadth of opportunity which exists for our students.
We continue to seek every opportunity to improve our school buildings and facilities. I would encourage you to take time to see them, especially our Sixth Form Centre, Performing Arts Theatre, all weather floodlit football and sports pitch, and our newly built Jubilee Centre.
We are proud to see how our pupils and students grow so much during their time at Coloma and we greatly value the leadership shown by our sixth form students under the stewardship of the Head Girl and her team of Deputies and House Captains. They are outstanding ambassadors for Coloma and for youth in the wider community, demonstrating the confidence, self-respect and self-belief we strive to foster in all that we do.
In the rapidly changing world in which we live, each day brings new challenges. At Coloma these are met with courage, energy, dignity and compassion. Our long history and tradition is a fine one. Our future, with God's help, and possibly yours, will be distinguished as we continue to develop Coloma for the lifelong benefit of all in the Community and to the glory of His name.
